It has been several months since we wrote to you, sharing our response to the call to be mission partners in the Anglican Diocese of Central Tanganyika. So many wonderful things have happened since that moment, and God has really guided us on this new path.
First of all, a huge huge thank you for the outpouring of love, prayers and financial commitment that each of you have made for this mission year. We couldn't have been faithful in this call without you. It is so so appreciated, and it is from that abundance that we leave for Tanzania. We hope that you will continue to journey with us while we are there, as we leave tonight, February 3rd, from Philadelphia and arrive into Dar es Salaam early on the 5th, and proceed to take a 6 hour bus ride to Dodoma, the political capital. We start teaching on the 15th.
We are both nervous and excited. Such is the reality of the situation.

We heard you arrived safely - you have been in our prayers! How is it going? Are you getting settled in? NOLA was great but not the same without you both - John was disappointed he didn't have anyone to go out with at night! We saw a Mardi Gras parade our last night and Bishop Harris was on our plane coming home - great ending to a fantastic trip. Can't wait to hear more from you. Lots of love, Judy
